Here's a typical big dish installation for a radio station we service:

This installation was about 300' from the studio to the dish.  After all existing utilities were located and marked by public service, Dave's Tv crew trenched, hand dug around the marked utilities, dug the post hole that the dish sits on, poured the cement, and then buried the cables to the radio station control room.  Start to finish . . .   1.5 days.

The pole that the satellite dish sits on has to be level while the cement is poured.

After the cement sets, usually over night, the dish is lifted from the transport trailer and is lowered on the pole and aligned with the satellite that the client wants to broadcast to/from.  This particular process was done in about 1.5 days, and our client was up and running when we left.
